Guy Joseph is a Saint Lucian politician, parliamentarian, and Cabinet Minister.
Career
Mr. Joseph represents the constituency of Castries South East for the United Workers Party (UWP). Joseph won the seat at the general election held on 11 December 2006, defeating Menissa Rambally of the St. Lucia Labour Party. In the government of Prime Minister John Compton, sworn in on 19 December 2006, Joseph was appointed Minister for Communications, Works, Transport and Public Utilities
On 14 June 2016, Joseph was appointed Minister of Economic Development, Housing, Urban Renewal, Transport and Civil Aviation, following the victory of the UWP in the 6 June 2016 general elections.
Mr. Joseph has articulated that his vision for the Castries South East community and St. Lucia is unwavering and will continue to foster multi-faceted development for his constituency and country.
He continues to be an agent for growth and self-sustenance in this community by uniting it’s workers and keeping a people-first mindset.
